New neatness from Blogger/Google...It's called Blogger Play, and it's a rolling slide show of photos/images being uploaded to blogs all the time. According to their documentation, it's in real-time and should have most of the inappropriate images removed.
You can speed 'em up, slow 'em down, and click 'em to see the blog that they came from.
Watching it has this weirdly hypnotic quality to it. You're getting a glimpse into the world of folks who have no clue you're there. It's not just reading about them; it's more like watching them.
Hard to explain but very cool to see.

that is kinda cool - if they reliably filter out naughty images I'd leave that running on a few machines around the house as a kinda cultural slideshow.
ReplyDeleteLakes - I can't find a way to add it just yet, but I'm guessing that if you went to the blogger forums and asked around, somebody would be willing to work on one.
ReplyDeleteRob - I've watched the slide show for a couple of hours combined, and I haven't seen anything that I'd consider inappropriate for school, so I think you're in the clear. The worst that I've seen is about the equivilent to a photo that you'd see on the cover of a Cosmo / Entertainment Weekly magazine.
