Steak and a quick trip

'Caught a bit on some Food Network show - not the one shown here but an updated version - about Peter Luger Steakhouse in Brooklyn, and now I'm thinking I should go back to NYC.

And, in an update on my world, The Girl and I have reservations to spend a few days in the Windy City, December 18-21.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what we should do and where we should eat?

  1. Please eat at one of Rick Bayless' restaurants, Frontera Grill or Topolobpambo. He won Top Chef Masters and makes the best Mexican food ever I guess.

As for what you should do, hang out with your favorite TA ever should be number one on the list, obviously.

  2. Actually I know you don't dig the Brazilian steakhouse that much, but Brazz wasn't bad. Frankly I am less steak and more classic Chicago style pizza myself.

  3. Katydid - we got to three of them: Xoco, Frotera, and Frontera Fresca.

Ame - we didn't try the Brazilian, though we did see it while we walked around. The pizza was tried - Gino's East - but not particularly enjoyed.
