Halfway through the summer, here are some things that I've noticed thus far...- ...drunken cherry vanilla ice cream sounds great
- ...portion sizes have become ridiculous...
- ...you can make your own Swiffer pads to save money and resources...
- ...Chum Bucket sounds like a vile candy...
- ...the tune "Met a Girl" is kinda catchy...
- ...ye olde cigarette commercials were kinda entertaining...
- ...we're all immigrants, so let it go... ...I miss living down in Cincy, and I want a good burrito...
- ...I need to get some cardstock and print out google...
- ...I need to head over to the Visual History Gallery in Hyde Park...
- ...the Smithsonian is having a big Muppet exhibit this summer...
- ...CNN/SI's best individual sports rivalries taught me a few things...
- Federer & Nadal have won 17 of the last 20 grand slams.
- I wish I could've seen the Ali-Frazier fights - other than that, I mostly don't give a crap about boxing.
- At one point, Agassia & Sampras won 20 of 40 grand slams.
- I still don't think hot dog eating is a sport - a curiosity, yes - a sport, no.
- Evert & Navratilova met 80 times on court (Martina 43-37) and each won 18 Grand Slam singles titles.
- Richard Petty had a rivalry with some guy I've never heard of.

I've already got my trip planned to see the Jim Henson exhibit! I wrote to our museum when I heard the exhibit was touring, but they didn't book it... Ah well. I couldn't bring it to me, so I haul my butt to it. I am so lame, I can't wait!

I'm envious, TL...our summer trips were already planned before I heard about the Muppet exhibit. Take good - and, I'm guessing, flashless - pictures to share.
