At least there is some good news in the world. It appears that sales of cigarettes have hit a 55-year low. There is some reason for celebration also in that it appears that high school seniors are smoking at an ever lower rate each year, suggesting good news for the future.The article attributes the decline to cigarette corporation settlements, public smoking bans, increases media attention, and lots of other things. Clearly, it won't be on this new movie.
Now, if we could just get sales of supper fat quadrupple cheeseburgers to hit an all-time low, we might be able to do something about America's bigger problem.
