Everything old is new again

I the semi-regular perusing of OhIkea.com, I came across a listing for a rockin' cool house up in Middletown ('bout fifteen miles north of The Homestead.

All-steel home from about forty years back. Very open floor plan. Some decently environmentally-friendly aspects here and there. Might be worth a look if they run an open house.

Not that I'm looking to leave The Homestead or anything, but I'm always curious.

Check it...

I like the idea, but could never dwell there personally. I'm all about the warm fuzzies and this place seems the opposite to me. The master bath sinks look like they would be a magnet for funnybone cracking. I hatesmacking my funnybone. It makes me sad.

Indeed, while smacking your funny bone isn't at all funny, I thought the house was really funky. True, it looked a little un-lived in and could do with a little more warmth, but you could have so much fun decorating it in the style of the late fifties, early sixties as the current look kind of hints at. You could go all out with it and throw "cocktail parties" complete with the right records playing in the background! Fun!

You better not be leaving the homestead...you've just succeeded in getting the people in the basement to move less than 10 minutes from your house. All part of your plot to have all of your friends within a 10 minute radius of your abode...you've done so much work, you can't ruin it now.
