Sammy...

...doing impressions while singing...

...late career classic...

...singing every showtune ever...

...reaching for a gun...

...on All in the Family...

...a tap dance challenge...(sound's a little low, though)...

...singing a jingle...

...going a little more serious...

...a funky bit of improv...

...speaking about entertaining in Vietnam...

...weirdly, a gun-spinning performance...

...his final televised performance...

I LOVE Sammy Davis Jr. I've seen him doing impressions before and was duly impressed. Surprisingly, I saw him do "Music of the Night" in his later years and it moved me to tears... I didn't expect it to, but he sang it with such emotion.
I also completely adore every single song in that showtune medley! It took me through so many wonderful moments of discovering shows and tunes that stay with me... Thanks for the trip down memory lane :)

Next week should make you happy, too, then as it's another week of Sammy...already lined up and ready...

I'm impressed with everything I see by him...he's sort of popularly known as the second banana Rat Packer, down in quality to Frank and Dean, but his dancing and singing - and obviously gun play - raise him into the upper echelon to me...

always a pleasure to help trigger a memory...
