Anybody up for really going to a show?

I've mentioned the Avett Brothers before (and have even provided a Seeqpod playlist), and I thought I'd give an early heads up to any fans in the Cinciucky area. They're going to be hanging at the Southgate House on May 1616 - a Friday, even. Tickets are $17 in advance, $20 day of the show, 18 and over admitted.

So, who wants to go?

I'm in - hopefully with The Girl, though she could take some convincing, because when I mentioned the band, she asked if they were that twangy band I'd been playing into the ground.

My mother will be there, and there's a good chance she'll be dragging my dad along. I, unfortunately, will be stuck in Maine still...I'll listen to "When I Drink" and "Ballad of Love and Hate" and be there in spirit.

Also: got your birthday present, so I need to know whether I can send it to the school or not.

I'm sure they'll be through at some point, Lakes...just wait outside the Ticketmaster outlet until then so you can make sure you get a ticket...

Michael - welcome, by the way, I look forward to reading your music reviews from Nashtown - I'm thinking Vandy would be much closer and cheaper on the gas tank, man...who's the girl dragging you to ATL?

Dan - apparently your mom and I have similar musical tastes...you clearly didn't have to get me anything, but unless it's horrifically inappropriate, send it along to school (11080 Chester Rd, Cinci, OH, 45246) as packages get to my room pretty regularly...thanks, in advance, man...

well its a couple of my friends staying at this girl's house and actually the show in nashville is at Vandy for rites of spring so its like 50 bucks (in addition you get to see many other artists, few which i am interested in besides OCMS). The show in ATL is only $17 and once we split the gas it wont be too bad of a drive. It will be a nice mini vacation anyways. Couple that with amazingly free home cooked meals all weekend and a real bed to sleep on at her home, and we've got a deal.
