Let's get on with the festivities.
- STEADYo - instead of following the hands and letting the yo-yo move, this video reverses our focal point
- 2 New Elements Named on Periodic Table - One, shouldn't the number '2' be spelled out in the article title? And finally there's and Fl element to make my students happy. They've been writing that symbol for years.
- What-song - I am consistently amazed at the obsessive lengths to which people will go on the internet. This site is attempting to list every song in every movie - complete with scene summary, purchase link, and playable sample.
- SEC presidents, ADs back best-teams playoff - Clearly the real news here though is that the SEC is adding equestrian as a sport. The Big Ten, on the other hand, hates a playoff.
- Queen Elizabeth-themed pantone deck - I love the Pantone deck and appreciate the creativity here.
- Putting words in his mouth - I love a good ventriloquist.
- Dark Knight Rises marathon - Damn you, University of Indianapolis
- Caped pint glasses - I know a certain short-haired, lady science teacher who's getting an awesome birthday present.
- Prep runner carries foe to finish line - Good sportsmanship still exists...but maybe just at the back of the line.
- Movie trailer of the day - Wreck-It Ralph looks fun.
- Speed of light - cute ad for the tiny projectors, but it's a cute ad, so I'm linking to it
- This is informative, you should watch it of the day - VSauce tells us all about the tallest buildings/structures in the world. The imagery at 5:00 in is phenomenal.
- The nation's top 10 coaching jobs - honored to see IU back at #5...curious that UConn gets dinged for being successful only under one coach but Duke doesn't get the same ding
- Video tour of the Toy and Plastic Brick museum - located a scant four hours from my house - and apparently without Lego's permission to use the name
- Spring 2012: most extreme season in US history - Things have not been right out there this past year, folks. I hope you know that one single event does not support global warming, but at some point the pattern of single events has to be acknowledged.
- Doc Hopper's Other Ideas - I would totally eat the king prawns.
- Unbreakable - unbreakable baseball records
- Calvin and Hobbes - my summer
- Compare and Contrast of the Day - Have to remember who to root against in tonight's game 7.
- Moody photos that embody silence - they do, yes
- Not bitter at all of the day - funny headline from the northwest
- Little ear earring - kinda cute, kinda creepy
- Weekend plans - I'm leaning toward the hammers.
- "We went to the moon and discovered Earth" - Dr Tyson is a national treasure.
