Caught this one at my parents' house this Sunday. It took me three reads through before I got the gag, but once I did, I had to share it.

More three-panel fun

Unsurprisingly, there's another three-panel comic out there that involves three identical panels with witty words.

Honestly, I'm okay with them as long as they're funny, and Partially Clips is funny, so I'm good with this one.

Cornball comics

The jokes are cornball.

The artwork isn't really any good.

But they're comics about DC superheroes, so it's a good time.

Jumping into the little circle

I've pointed out how much better some comics would be with different dialogue.

Now I point that out again. Today's fun site is the Free Floating Dysfunctional Family Circus archive.

The plot is simple:

• Take an already-existant Bil Keane Family Circus comic circle.
• Add in your own (sometimes NSFW) lines.
• Roll with laughter.
• Repeat.

Old Blockhead

In the world of random things, we find a mashup of Peanuts and comic books.

Why would somebody make such creations?

I have no more idea for that one than I do as to why I would have gone through all of the pages of the images.

Abstraction

Irregular Webcomic! isn't the best webcomic out there, admittedly, but every now and then it hits a funny patch.

The most recent funny comics were a few weeks ago with a zen joke and a decent Canadian joke.

But that's not today's post topic, instead it's the recent comic about interpreting four black panels. The author - some Australian guy, I think - goes through some decently interesting points about abstract art and your interpretation of it. Neat reading...

Hope for people like me

I'm enjoying Wondermark. More good webcomic...um...goodness...

Irregular Legos

I am continually pleased that there are more and more webcomics to keep me entertained. And it's always good when I find another one that uses Legos for the characters. This one is called Irregular Webcomic and maintains, I think, five ongoing storylines - four of which feature Legos everytime.

Comix rarities

The whole the site that has everything is a little bit pompus and incorrect. It doesn't have, for example, this phenomenal cover. Ok, so I'm being sneaky with Transbuddha.

But it does have some rarities from a couple of the coolest comics of the past couple of decades. I'm talking about those comic classics: Bloom County (before it became Outland which was vaguely rehashed crap) and Calvin & Hobbes.

This Peter Paltridge fellow has gone around and collected a whole bunch of rarities related to those two strips. There a whole bunch of the Bloom County and Outlands that are missing from the various collections that exist in print. There are also a few of the strips that are different between the original and collected versions.

Then there's his vast collection of rare stuff from Bill Watterson. There are t-shirts, original strips, calendars, and a bunch more stuff for the Watterson fanatics out there.

He also offers shout outs to US Acres, but it was a load of manure from the get go - stupider, even, than Garfield which is phenomenally stupid - unless you really mess with it.

Now, if somebody could just find some rare Doonesbury and Boondocks cartoons, we'd be set for life.

Mike Luckovich just won his second pulitzer prize for political cartooning. His blog - which has all of his cartoons posted daily - is excellent to check in on.

Jokes not meant for you...

Every profession, every hobby, every prediliction has its own little weirdnesses and quirks, which is why every one of them deserves its own cartoon site. We open today with Unshelved, the cartoon devoted to librarian humor....Next up is Order of the Stick probably the most entertaining of the Dungeon-and-Dragons-themed cartoons - and the only one I'm mentioning today that I read regularly.We also have La Curaracha focusing on humor that might take an Hispanic bent to really enjoy.There's also Alex a cartoon for the British office worker.Does anybody know of a cartoon strip focused around teachers and/or schools? Funky Winkerbean isn't what I'm looking for, by the way.

On Truth & Beauty Bombs, I'm intrigued by the avatars that some of the posters (in particular - Forsyth, Randy Johnson, and Darthkittenlover. Anybody know where I can go to make such funky icons?
