So, I was talking to one of our new teachers this afternoon, and he commented that he didn't know where anything around was. He's from Dayton and has lived in the Cincinnati area for like a month now - maybe two.
So, the request is this. Where would you suggest that he go to eat / shop / see the sights in and around the district or Cincinnati as a whole?
Post your suggestions, and I'll forward them his way en masse...

Heck, I'll get the ball rolling myself...
My favorite restaurants around are...
The Friendly Stop in Glendale...
Knotty Pine on the Bayou in northern Kentucky (best cajun anywhere nearby)...
Waffle House - numerous locations...
Red Robin - Union Center...
Accapulco - my favorite Mexican food, a few locations, nearby on Route 4...
Bacall's on Hamilton Ave in North College Hill...
Habenero on Ludlow down by UC...
Buca di Beppo in Norwood...
but some of those are chains, so they can't really count...
Okay...well, none of those posts will help the young teacher in question, so I'll add...Uno's in Clifton...which now, apparently is called ZA...same pizzas, better? crust...and just in general, I think the whole Levee scence in Newport is good stuff.
There's also Wolpert's in Hamilton for cheap, classic good food, The Cone in West Chester for soft serve ice cream, and Flub's in Hamilton for the same sort of ice cream fare...good stuff.
