Like rabbits, I tell ya...

Would you believe that the picture to the left is now three kids short?

The Duggars Family (check their website has apparently added a seventeenth pup to the brood.

So many comments come to mind on so many different topics - overpopulation, use of our resources, reproductive health, Christianity's views on birth control, dressing your kids alike, why I don't have kids, getting overrun, starting all your kids' names with the same initials - that I don't even think I can coherently comment in any of the areas.

If you want to know more, feel free, also, to check out the Discovery Channel website.

You did even mention the whole home schooling issue...

Sadly one of my brood is fascinated by this clan and watches every freakin' Duggar special on Discovery Health she can find...if I catch her watching the shows she's grounded...ask her about it next time you see her...qm

To Calen - the home schooling thing is so far beyond anything that I can comprehend that I left it...

And Lakes - it's your resources that they're taking an over abundance of. Doesn't that bother you?

"Your/our resources doesn't bother me at all. That's 19 people creating waste/life period. There are 19 other people creating waste all over the world. If Mason City Schools adds 19 more teachers to their "family" how much more waste is that? Let's not even talk about how many more students that means to the school district's "family" waste amount.

I would much rather spend my time looking for 19ish other couples who will eventually be procreating (stats say many on accident) that will be bad to the earth AND to their kids and convince them to use super bith control. In the grand picture of "waste" I think these people do worse for our environment than the Duggers by far.

Oh, a family of 19 can probably live more environmentally efficiently than nineteen families of one (or whatever), but still...who the frick needs seventeen kids?

They don't live on a farm, so they don't need the help mucking the stalls or anything.

you said mucking :-)

See, it's funny because if you change one of the letters, it's a dirty word.
